12. Housing Options

 

1. International Exchange Student: Your home institution must be a UCSC partner institution, either within Europe (LLP-Eramus Network) or outside Europe (Bilateral Exchange Agreements), or an ISEP member institution (ISEP Network). You may not apply directly to UCSC as an exchange student and must be nominated by your home institution. Be sure to contact your Study Abroad or International Office on your campus.


2. Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) has introduced UCSC MILAN DIRECT, a program of university courses taught in English and/or in Italian available to study abroad students. For the first time in Italy, international study abroad students may enroll directly in an Italian university and receive their education in English directly from UCSC. 3. As an E.U. Exchange student you can select your courses from the following academic offerings:

Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano offers a variety of courses taught in English. With such a diversity of courses in English, UCSC hopes to meet the various needs of international students wanting to study in Milan to learn Italian and improve their Italian language proficiency. 4. Each semester UCSC Milan direct students may enrol in one or both Italian Language and Culture courses (intensive and/or semester, see below) and add a up to 4 of the English or Italian courses offered on a semester basis. For more information please click here 


5. The International Relations Office (IRO) and ALTIS, Postgraduate School of Business & Society of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) in Milan, Italy will offer "Experiencing Italian Excellence" in Summer 2010, an international summer program for business students interested in acquiring direct knowledge and experience of Italian business expertise. 6. The IR office will organise an Italian Language and Culture Course, designed for students who want to learn, study and explore the Italian language, for the 2009/2010 academic year. For more information please click here


7. If you are a non E.U. student you require a VISA to enter Italy as a student. If you are an exchange or visiting student please click here for further information. 8. If you're entering Italy with a study VISA you are allowed to work part-time.

12. The city of Milan offers a wide range of housing options. Students wanting to live in rooms/apartments can check the university housing announcement board  or find them through the international student associations ESEG or ESN. International students attending UCSC, whether their housing is guaranteed or not by the exchange agreement between their sending institution and UCSC, may select the housing option through Milano International Living Service (MIL) located in the IRO building at Via Carducci, 28/30. If you are a degree seeking student you may want to consider living in a on-campus student residence .
